CCDP Convention & Pot Luck Dinner


           Cumberland County Democratic Party

to Elect New Leaders at Reorganization Convention

        All County Democrats are Welcome & Urged to Participate

   The Cumberland County Democratic Party will hold a Biennial Reorganization Convention to elect new leaders on Monday, March 27th at 5:00 P.M. . The meeting will take place at the Crossville Housing Authority, 67 Irwin Avenue (Irwin Avenue & 1st Street) . A potluck dinner will be provided by the Democratic Women’s Club from 5 to 6 P.M.

    Please arrive to complete credentiating forms before 6:00 P.M. when the doors will be closed and the convention begins with the election.

   Local Democrats will elect a new Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and the Executive Committee for Cumberland County for a two-year term. There are two representatives for each of the nine County Districts (preferably different genders) plus anyone desiring to serve as an at-large member.

  Those willing to serve the Party and/or elected office are needed more than ever and warmly welcomed to attend the fourth Monday monthly meetings at the Housing Authority.  All Democratic residents who are eligible voters of Cumberland County are urged to attend. Amos Powers, vice-chair of the TNDP County Chairs Association will speak and help discuss the party’s agenda and events for 2017-18. During reorganization, attendees will evaluate the effectiveness of their County Party bylaws and leadership. The County Party determines its needs, elects new leaders and enacts reforms to build a stronger grassroots organization.
